2025/2/4 (Tue.) Farmers’ Day

Farmers' Day is a holiday in the Republic of China. On March 12, in 1941, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the National Government held the first National Agricultural and Forestry Administration Conference in the wartime capital of Chongqing. The delegates agreed that China is an agricultural country and that a festival should be set up for farmers to commemorate and celebrate, and various competitions and awards should be held to encourage agricultural improvement. They decided to designate the beginning of spring (around February 4th in the Chinese calendar) as Farmers' Day. Approved and promulgated by the Executive Yuan.
