Want to learn more about mental health counseling, or are you still hesitant about making an appointment? Please refer to the following Q&A to help you better understand this service :)
[Consultation Q&A]
Q: What is a doctor's consultation?
A: The main purpose of mental health counseling is health maintenance and prevention. We all have moments when we feel uneasy, want to see a doctor but are unsure whether to go. This is where a doctor's consultation comes in handy, providing initial professional advice.
Q: Will a doctor's consultation leave a record in my medical records?
A: This service is not a medical consultation and will not leave a medical record!
Q: How long will the consultation last? Will there be enough time?
A: Each consultation lasts approximately 40 minutes, allowing ample time to discuss with the doctor in detail. If you wish to shorten the time, it can be flexibly adjusted!
Q: Can the doctor prescribe medication for me?
A: Since counseling differs from a regular medical visit, medication cannot be provided. However, if needed, a doctor can assist you in visiting an off-campus clinic.
**For further inquiries, please contact Social Worker Chen Bi-jia at the Student Counseling Center at 02-8212-2000 ext. 2071.**
Wishing everyone peace and well-being.
