The Department of Food and Beverage Management at JUST enjoys a prestigious reputation—often summarized by the phrase "NKUHT in the South, JUST in the North"—and stands as a benchmark institution for hospitality and culinary education in Northern Taiwan.

The department’s core mission is to cultivate food and beverage professionals characterized by a global outlook, professional expertise, and creative thinking. Its educational approach employs specialized tracks tailored to students' aptitudes: the "Management Group" (focusing on front-of-house and bar operations), the "Culinary Arts Group" (focusing on advanced back-of-house skills), and the "Baking Group". The curriculum integrates three key modules—culinary techniques, food and beverage management, and entrepreneurial creativity—and has earned the "Quality Culinary Education Recognition" from the World Association of Chefs' Societies (WACS), ensuring alignment with international standards.

Furthermore, the department emphasizes practical application, implementing a unique mentorship system and fostering a vibrant student club culture. Through extensive overseas study tours, industry-academia collaborations, and diverse internship opportunities at top-tier hotels both domestically and abroad, students build real-world competence. Graduates are highly sought after by the industry, and the department has consistently maintained an enrollment rate exceeding 90% for years.
