March 3 (Tue.), in 2026, is the Lantern Festival, the 15th day of the first lunar month, and also the planned date for the 2026 Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival. In Taiwan, the Lantern Festival has customs such as "Sky Lanterns in the North, Firecrackers in the South, Cold Cannons in the East, and Tortoise Begging in the West." The Tortoise Begging activity in Penghu will also be grandly launched on March 3, in 2026.
