The Central Weather Agency predicts that two tropical systems are on the horizon, each with the potential to become a typhoon. These will be Typhoons Mitag and Bhagatsa, the 17th and 18th typhoons of the year. The first, from the 18th to the 20th, will be affected by the surrounding moisture, resulting in localized heavy or torrential rain. A typhoon warning may be issued at sea on Thursday the 18th and Friday the 19th, primarily affecting the southern and eastern parts of Taiwan. The second typhoon may be closest to Taiwan on the 22nd and 23rd, but its exact path remains to be seen.

Please ensure that all doors and windows are closed when leaving offices and labs.
