Dear Students,
🌟 Would you like to meet friends from different countries? Are you interested in showing international students around Taiwan’s night markets and sharing local delicacies with them?
JUST presents the "Taste of Jinwen: Night Market & Local Area Exploration" program! We invite local and international students to form teams, venture beyond the campus, explore the area surrounding JUST, experience local Taiwanese culture, and build cross-cultural friendships!
This is more than just a culinary tour of night markets—it’s a unique opportunity for international cultural exchange!
🎉 Program Highlights
🍢 Night Market Exploration: Visit night markets together, sample authentic Taiwanese street food, and experience local night market culture.
🚈 Local Area & Transit Guide: Learn about bus routes around the campus, the Ankeng Light Rail, and how to navigate the public transportation system.
🌏 International Cultural Exchange: Local students help international students get acquainted with life in Taiwan; exchange languages ​​(Chinese and foreign languages) and share insights into different cultures.
🤝 Building Cross-Cultural Friendships: Make friends from various nationalities and enrich your campus life!
📌 Program & Application Details
I. Program Name: "Taste of Jinwen: Night Market & Local Area Exploration"
II. Program Period: From now until November 15, 2026.
III. Locations: The area surrounding JUST, public transit routes, and various night markets (such as Xingnan Night Market, Jingmei Night Market, etc.).
IV. Participants: Local and international students currently enrolled at JUST.
V. Team Formation:
Each team must consist of at least 6 members.
Teams should maintain a 1:2 ratio of local students to international students.
(Example: 2 local students + 4 international students = 1 team.)
VI. Program Subsidy:
Each team will receive a subsidy of NT$3,000.
Limited to 20 teams.
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received, until all spots are filled. All expenses must be reimbursed in accordance with the university’s accounting regulations.
📝 How to Apply
Interested students should form a team consisting of both local (Taiwanese) and international students. Please complete the "Application Form for International Exchange and Cultural Experience Activities at JUST" (https://forms.gle/FNuZbH1KamiCEZgh6), including your proposed activity date, itinerary, and event plan. Once the form is submitted, you must visit the International Exchange Center to finalize the application review process.
Activities must comply with all requirements regarding insurance, safety briefings, and other administrative procedures. Following the event, you are required to submit a final report, event photos, and documentation for expense reimbursement.
