On September 8, in 2026, JUST hosted the "2nd Taiwan-Japan Joint Academic Symposium" in collaboration with the Japan Association of Industrial Economics and Nagoya Sangyo University. The event focused on the theme: "Challenges in Moving Toward Sustainable Management and the Realization of SDGs."
The symposium brought together experts from industry and academia across Taiwan and Japan to deepen international cooperation through keynote speeches and presentations:

*   Presentations from the Japanese side: Covered cutting-edge topics such as organic produce distribution, sustainability accounting, green community indicators, the integration of agriculture and social welfare ("Agri-Welfare"), generative AI, and digital transformation.
*   Achievements from JUST: Highlighted University Social Responsibility (USR) and local revitalization initiatives, including the Ankeng "Sites of Injustice" project, low-carbon tourism in Sandiaoling, educational travel along the North Coast, and the connection of local culture through design education.

This event successfully established a long-term platform for industry-academia exchange between Taiwan and Japan, demonstrating the tangible contributions of higher education in implementing local initiatives and fostering international co-creation.
