Tears or sweat? These college students protected Hualien with their "spatulas"! 🍳✨

When Hualien faced natural disaster, these young people did not back down! Faculty and students from the Department of Food and Beverage Management at JUST formed the "Spatula Superheroes Volunteer Cooking Team," forgoing the opportunity to reunite with their families during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday to resolutely venture into the disaster area, using their professional skills to deliver hot meals to the victims.

Today, Premier Cho Jung-tai and Minister of Education Cheng Ying-yao met with and commended these heroic students. The Premier emotionally said, "Logistical support is the strongest force in a disaster area. Thank you for warming everyone's hearts with your culinary skills." ❤️

Student representative Li Guan-ru said: "In two days, we cut thousands of fish fillets, 250 kilograms of pumpkin, and over 300 onions… We were so busy we couldn't tell if the tears or sweat were flowing, but being able to use our expertise to help society is an experience we'll never forget!"
