August 14 (Fri.), in 2026, is Air Force Day in the Republic of China, commemorating the victory of the "August 14 Air Battle" (Jianqiao Air Battle) in 1937. Therefore, the Republic of China government officially designated this day as Air Force Day in 1939 to recognize the bravery and contributions of the Air Force. Although the military holidays are now unified, the "Jianqiao Spirit" of August 14th Air Force Day is still passed down, commemorating the mission of Air Force officers and soldiers to defend the airspace and safeguard national security.
