July 1 (Wed.), in 2026, is Taiwan's annual Tax Day.
To boost the morale of tax and customs personnel and to thank them for their contributions to the nation, the government has designated July 1st as "Tax Day."
The Ministry of Finance usually holds a "Tax Day Celebration and Awards Ceremony" on this day.
Award recipients include: Outstanding and senior tax and customs personnel, high-performing tax agents, bookkeepers, bookkeeping and tax filing agents, and excellent dedicated customs brokers.
Event details: In the past, high-ranking government officials (such as the President or Premier) would often attend, deliver speeches, and present awards. Videos showcasing the award recipients' achievements would also be shown, and there might even be interactive activities with drug-sniffing dogs.
