July 1 (Wed.), in 2026, Highway Day
July 1 (Wed.), in 2026, is Taiwan's Highway Day. This day was established to commemorate the implementation of the Highway Act on July 1, 1960. Usually, the Directorate General of Highways and the Republic of China Road Association, among other organizations, hold celebrations to commend outstanding contributions to highway construction and transportation, and to review and look forward to the development of highways in Taiwan. For example, in 2025, a 60th anniversary celebration of Highway Day was held to celebrate and revive this holiday.
