The 11th Design Week and International Poster Exhibition of Love and Peace, hosted by the Department of Visual Communication Design at JUST, has commenced.

The Design Week combines design exchanges between high school students and current students, showcasing creative and practical achievements and cultivating design thinking and practical skills. The "International Poster Exhibition of Love and Peace" is being held concurrently, inviting outstanding designers from home and abroad to participate. Through visual language, the exhibition conveys the concepts of care and peace, enhancing students' international perspectives and design expression abilities, creating a diverse, innovative, and socially conscious learning platform. The exhibition is being held at the university's Design Hall and the outdoor exhibition area on Jingwen 3rd Road, running from now until January 17th, 2026. Admission is free for students, faculty, and the public.

Curator Assistant Professor Lin Hongzhang stated that the "International Poster Exhibition of Love and Peace" invited 136 designers and artists from 24 countries worldwide to participate, showcasing themed posters from both professional creators and outstanding students. The exhibition, themed around "love" and "peace," features diverse and stylistically rich works that not only showcase individual creativity and cultural characteristics but also transcend racial, linguistic, and regional boundaries, conveying universal human emotions and values. Professor Lin emphasized that design is not merely a presentation of form and aesthetics, but also a crucial medium for communicating emotions, conveying ideas, and promoting understanding. Through this exhibition, viewers can deeply appreciate the powerful force of design as a visual language and reflect on how design can be used to practice humanistic care and social responsibility in contemporary society.

At the opening ceremony, President Huang Rong-peng of JUST stated, "Design is not only a display of creativity and technology but also a power that transcends boundaries and evokes resonance. Through this international poster exhibition, we hope to encourage students, faculty, and the general public to rethink: in a world full of division and conflict, how should love and peace be understood and practiced? We are honored that JUST is a platform for this international dialogue, and we look forward to students drawing inspiration and broadening their horizons."
