JUST 36th Anniversary Celebration ##..~~.~

November 22, in 2025, marks the 36th anniversary of JUST. The university will hold a celebration themed "36 Years of JUST's Professional and Technical Excellence: Refinement, Sustainability, and Cross-Domain Wisdom." The ceremony will begin with the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Quality Assurance Association, awards for student and faculty competitions, recognition of outstanding alumni, presentation of the JUST Outstanding Youth Award, presentation of short film competition awards, and recognition of outstanding individuals.

JUST President Huang Jung-Peng addressed the audience, stating that celebrating the 36th anniversary of JUST is not only a birthday celebration but also an affirmation of JUST's past achievements and an expectation for its future vision. For 36 years, JUST has remained committed to nurturing outstanding talent, continuously evolving and pursuing excellence.

JUST's development can be defined by four keywords in our blueprint for a new era:

1. Refinement: Optimizing Efficiency and Building Strength

We adhere to the educational spirit of "Refinement and Solidity." This is not merely about cost savings, but also about the efficient use of resources and the pursuit of excellence in teaching quality. From curriculum design to administrative processes, we continuously optimize and eliminate redundancy to ensure that every resource is transformed into maximum growth potential for both teachers and students. "Jingwen Strength," Jingwen people! We aim to stand out in all industries with the most precise professional skills and the most practical abilities.

II. Sustainability: Green Campus, Social Responsibility
Faced with the challenges of global climate change and social development, sustainability is no longer just a slogan, but an action. Jingwen is committed to building a green and smart campus, deeply embedding the concept of sustainable development into every professional field. We encourage students not only to possess workplace competitiveness but also to have a sense of social responsibility, understanding how to cherish resources and care for the environment. Jingwen people will be a key force driving industry and society towards a sustainable future.

III. Intelligence: Technology Empowerment, Digital Transformation
In the digital wave, we actively promote the construction of a smart campus. From introducing advanced AIoT devices and optimizing digital learning platforms to integrating big data analytics into school management, technology is a powerful engine for improving the quality of our teaching and research. We cultivate students' digital literacy and computational thinking, enabling every Jingwen graduate to confidently face the challenges of the smart era.

IV. Interdisciplinary Learning: Integrating Innovation and Connecting with the World
Jingwen deeply understands the limitations of a single discipline, and we vigorously promote interdisciplinary learning and collaboration. This means breaking down academic barriers and encouraging students to combine different majors, such as tourism with design, culinary arts with fashion, and information technology with hospitality. Interdisciplinary learning also connects us with the world. We will continue to strengthen international exchange, cooperation, overseas internships, exchange programs, and dual-degree programs, creating more opportunities for faculty and students to step out of Taiwan and connect with the world, cultivating T-shaped talents with an international perspective.

The future of JUST has begun. Let all of us at JUST:

With a "practical" attitude, transform knowledge into solid professional skills;

With a "sustainable" spirit, realize our ideals as contributions to society;

With "intelligent" capabilities, embrace the infinite possibilities brought by technology;

With an "interdisciplinary" mindset, jointly create an even more brilliant 36 years for JUST! To celebrate the 36th anniversary of the school's founding, a birthday cake was prepared. Professor Wei Shijie of the Department of Food and Beverage Management specially used jam to create a large porcelain plate with a design depicting the auspicious motif of pine trees and cranes symbolizing longevity and prosperity. The evergreen pine symbolizes the school's enduring legacy, while the soaring cranes represent the emergence of talented individuals and the high achievements of its students. Furthermore, the chairman and principal used jam to add eyes to two of the cranes, completing the design symbolizing abundant student enrollment and a large student body. Professor Wei used this painting to wish the school continued prosperity and a thriving future.
