JUST Summer Camp Flag Presentation Opens the Curtain of Rural Primary School Summer Camp Service.
The primary school summer vacation will start next Tuesday. The teachers and students of JUST will go to three rural primary schools to organize the "Big Hands Holding Little Hands" camp. The flag presentation ceremony before the trip will be held on June 23, hosted by Dean of Office of Student Affairs Xie Shufen, to kick off the 114th Summer Camp.
In her speech, the Dean of Office of Student Affairs first wished the teachers and students participating in the summer camp a smooth success, and then encouraged the serving students to fully experience the spirit of service. In addition to success, they must also take care of their own health, so that they can benefit others and help themselves. She also encouraged everyone to remember to reflect and review after completing the service, so that future services can be more perfect; then she personally presented the school flag to each camp, and the President of the Student Union Guo Zixuan led the students to take the service camp oath, willing to adhere to the spirit of service during the camp, become a serious and responsible Jingwen person, and give full play to the school motto of "hard work, faithfulness, humility, and innovation" to work together to improve social welfare.
The camp is sponsored by the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Deepening Project, the Tan Shengdao Charity Foundation, and Dingli Insurance Brokers, and is combined with the SDGs quality education sustainable development goals to implement a camp program for disadvantaged children in remote areas; students use their personal knowledge to design professional camp activities to teach students in remote schools, and narrow the learning gap between urban and rural areas in an entertaining way; and the participants are also given priority to dropouts, aboriginals, single-parent families, and children of foreign spouses.
The 114th summer school camp includes Wudu Elementary School, Xiandong Elementary School, and Shangren Elementary School in Keelung City; in addition, a career experience camp for children in Sanchung Family Support Center in New Taipei City will be held in early August.
