JUST’s charity kitchen celebrates White Valentine’s Day with the elderly

 

Adhering to the sunshine, enthusiasm and love that want to warm the stomachs and hearts of the seniors, the Xiu Xiu Charity Chef Team, formed by the Jingwen University Student Club, with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Deepening Plan and the Tan Shengdao Charity Foundation, went to the Xindian Rose Lane Mantangcai Senior Care Center on March 14, White Valentine's Day, to hold a charity cooking event for the young and the elderly to learn and dine together. Not only did they cook burden-free home-cooked meals and talk about dishes on the spot, they also coordinated with pedestrian traffic promotion to remind the elderly of the importance of walking safely outside. The chef students were deeply moved to see that nearly 100-year-old elders came to participate.
